Suspenders |
About 80% of all re-enactors seem to
wear historically inaccurate suspenders. We are now offering
these suspenders made of white cotton web with a red stripe,
correct buckles and leather suspension tabs. These will fit
most people, unless you are a very large size.

Folded Leather Saber Belt |

Originally most officer’s saber belts were not of a single piece of
leather but rather were of a soft folded leather sewn over a canvas base,
commonly referred to as “Russia” leather. Ornamental stitching is
commonly found on these belts.
We are making these now only with the “CS” two piece buckle as shown. The
ornamental stitching on these fine pigskin belts really sets them off as a
first class officer belt. Each belt has saber straps also with ornamental
stitching. Each saber strap has detachable snap hooks. |

Because of leather size we
can only make these up to a 45 inch waist.
If you already have a belt
buckle you would like to have mounted on one of these belts, please
contact us.
Each belt will be
individually crafted for the customer so allow 5 weeks for delivery after
receipt of payment. |

We have all seen
the so called replicas of the Confederate musket sling at almost every
sutler's shop. We have had the opportunity to borrow an original sling
from a collector and now offer this accurate copy to our customers.
The sling is made of a tight weave Osnaberg, as is the original, it is
33 inches long so will only work on Springfield / Richmond
rifle-muskets. |

the Fredericksburg National Military Park. It is of 6 oz. drill,
folded and stitched in an ornamental pattern. It is painted black
and finished with a linseed oil finish like the haversacks.

This sling
is sewn with its ornamental stitches on an original Willcox and
Gibbs sewing machine manufactured in 1858. the Haversack Depot owns
one of the earliest examples of this machine in the country and it
is shown above. |
