made of 7 oz. cotton drill furnished with bone buttons.

Type IIIa 2-piece construction, without the third tent pin loop.  (Sporadically before October, but then regularly from that date until September 1864.  Made of 7 oz. cotton drill furnished with bone buttons but metal buttons can also be used if requested.
